MOLA Solar Shield and
Secondary Mirror Random Vibration Analysis Results

This area presents the analysis results of the Solar Shield Doghouse and Secondary Mirror (see the exploded view for details).
Random analytical response due to the MOLA random vibration input

This section displays the responses of the secondary mirror and a point on the doghouse on the solar shield. These responses are due to the random vibration of the entire MOLA instrument FEM. The charts give responses in the three translational directions (T1, T2, T3) for inputs in the X, Y, and Z directions respectively. (The MOLA input spec is also available.)

The doghouse is an attachment to the solar shield through which the laser beam passes.

Because the secondary mirror and the solar shield will not be random tested separately, no test specification was derived from the anlaytical responses.
